Amidst a soft pallet of greys, black and whites punched undertones of lilac and refreshing yellow - this is Erdem Spring/ Summer '14. The ghostly contrast of the monochromatic fabrics and  the androgynousness of the styling appeals to my romanticism, as a corpse bride-esk aura. A departure from the usual Erdem Moralıoğlu breadth of work, but one that (for me) brings new life to the usual Spring Summer format.

four hot chocolates and a shortbread later i'm beginning to embrace the cold, with my fur jackets relegated to a life of wardrobe bliss thanks to our new puppies fetish for anything remotely expensive, i've turned towards a trusty tartan blanket and a thick knit jumper - after months of neglecting my blog it seems only fair to share my winter beauty products and festive buys.(as you can see LUSH is a big favourite of mine at the minute).

I am obsessed with this CHANEL aftershave at the minute, fresh smelling with spicy undertones makes for the perfect winter/spring transitional fragrance. It compliments LUSH's Flying Fox shower gel perfectly, LUSH add so much honey into the equation that even the most stressful of days seem to disappear. Team all of these products alongside a tropical lime candle and some Dark Amber scent sticks(Zara Home), close your eyes, and be transported to your personal thai spa.

After spending most of the Winter in raw edged wool sweaters, coated black skinnies, leather jackets and doc martins I took much pride in choosing an outfit for the spring. 18 degrees isn't hot in the slightest so I teamed a striped vest with a long sleeved thin alexander wang tee, and my beloved rocco. Spring Fever.

dumbo clutch

 Alexander Wang is as infamous for accessories as he is for his garments, and there's no wonder why. Since September of last year I have used my Rocco in black with antique gold hardware almost every day - the leather; like a memory foam pillow. I've seen this 'dumbo clutch' around everywhere, the temptation to buy is killing me.

Strong silhouettes, fox fur collars and razor skinny pants - a scene backstage at Jason Wu Fall 2012, NYFW. Another young designer who has recently captured my attention is that of Jason Wu, in this collection premiered at Fashion Week it is clear that Wu has revisited his culture, from pretty cocktail dresses last season to Chinese-militarian outerwear and harsh, slicked back pony tails in check for this Fall. Red satin and gold embellishment are key features of this collection. His final image, a parade of fashion soldiers - a visual that will surely stick within our minds. Wu at his best.

form follows fuction

I really love the sharp, razor cut tailoring at Alexander Wang NY - fall/winter 2012. The looks were not only modern but punctuating - the signature style of the designer himself could be seen in every garment. Twisting away from recent collections Wang, here, has applied structural elements and form into his outerwear - a distance away from the athletic, lazer cut, boyfriend fit jerseys of his S/S12 collection. The collection aired a maturity, a welcomed change from the junior designer. The caged, almost shadow box inspired mouth guards were a particular favourite of mine, used as both accessories and pieces of art, these tied the looks together to create a cohesive flow of fashion.
